Running CFS software on Arm-based PCs

Edwin Grace Updated by Edwin Grace

To run some of our software like Payroll System correctly on newer Windows on ARM PC's, for example Surface Pros, or Snapdragon X Elite powered PCs, certain emulation settings must be changed to maximize compatibility.

These steps also apply to virtualized instances of Windows ARM running through Parallels on Apple Silicon Macs

Steps

  1. Right-click on the program's icon, and left-click Properties.
  2. Left-click on the Compatibility tab.
  3. Left-click on the Change emulation settings tab.
  4. Check the box next to Use advanced settings
  5. Change Multi-core settings drop down to Force single-core operation
  6. Make sure all the boxes underneath Emulation settings are checked.
  7. Left-click OK, then Apply, and close the Properties window.
  8. Restart the software.
