Switching Between Single-User Mode and Network Mode

Eric Updated by Eric

  1. From the main menu click Tools > Options
  2. In General > Application Mode then choose Single-User or Network.
    1. Single-user: client data is stored on the local computer.
    2. Network: client data is stored on a server or other computer on the network. See Creating a new network database or Connecting to an Existing Network Database.
  3. Exit TaxTools WorkShop and launch it again.
A valid network license is required to connect to a network database.
If one product is licensed for single-user and a different product is licensed for network, access the respective product by switching the appropriate mode. It may make sense for users to simply upgrade all products to the network mode to avoid this step.
