Uploading 1099 files to CA SWIFT website

Eric Updated by Eric

  1. Create a SWIFT account if you have not done so already.
  2. Log in into your SWIFT account.
Swift User ID is lower case, and the credentials are not the same as MyFTB.
  3. Select the ToFTB folder.
  4. Click Upload.
  5. An Open File dialog will appear. Open the correct file.
If you have just created your file in Step 4 of the 1099 e-filing article, type CTRL + V to paste in your file name and path. Or, navigate to the correct folder.
Your file will upload quickly and automatically upon opening the file. Many users are uncertain as to whether it uploaded. Watch the lower left-hand corner Uploads Monitor.
  6. Check all your uploads by clicking on Uploads Monitor.
Swift will send an email when the file is received, usually within 5 minutes of uploading the file. If any problem with the file, you will receive an email or a call within 2 weeks.
If you accidentally uploaded the file twice, the FTB will automatically delete the duplicate if the file is exactly the same
