Do I need to first input a client before I can use the program?

The following products require a client to first be input to use its modules.

  • Payroll System
  • CA Sales Tax Preparer
  • NY Sales Tax Preparer
  • CA 571 Preparer

While other products do not require a client to be input, some modules within the product may require it and a message will appear onscreen if such a module is opened when no client is selected.

See <Quick Access> --- No Client --- under your Client List at the upper left (showing any saved clients). Think of Quick Access as the default for when you access a module without regard to a client.
The disadvantage of using Quick Access compared to entering a client first is that anything saved in Quick Access will not carry over from year to year.
