Problem
When uploading a 1099 CSV file to the IRIS portal, this error appears: "The uploaded file contains one or more errors. Please correct the following and re-upload."
Cause
The CSV file may have been created using the Export Information Returns to CSV File in the Utilities menu instead of creating the file in the Create W-2 / W-2C e-file/MagMedia Files module.
Solution
Create the CSV file in the Create W-2 / W-2C e-file/MagMedia Files module. See 1099 E-Filing Module Overview particularly Create IRS file (FIRE or IRIS).
