Why can't I access the W2/1099 program?

The most common reasons why someone cannot access their W2/1099 software are:

  • They have not purchased the program.
  • They purchased the program (and updated to a version that includes W2/1099) but have not entered the most current license code.
  • They purchased the program (and entered a current license code) but have not updated their program to a version that includes W2/1099.
It is possible that you need to both update your version and enter your new license code.

If you simply need to enter your current license code, follow these steps:

  1. Open your Payroll System software.
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Firm Information.
  4. Enter your current license code.
  5. Click OK.

If you need to update your program, follow these steps:

  1. Open your Payroll System software.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. Click Update from the Web.
  4. Follow the prompts.
