Starter Kits Discontinued

Michael Toney Updated by Michael Toney

A starter kit was a sampling of W-2/1099 tax forms and envelopes. Because of more restrictive IRS e-file mandates, starter kits were discontinued due to the anticipated diminished need for W-2 and 1099 tax forms.

Starter kits were labor intensive and costly to make and ship. Now that the IRS is mandating that so many more W-2 and 1099 forms be e-filed, it doesn't make sense to expend the necessary resources to make kits for fewer and fewer customers.

Moreover, it is likely that some customers who might think that they want a starter kit now will change their mind later. We do not want to pre-order kits only to learn later that neither we nor our customers want them.
