Using an email address to access a program

Eric Updated by Eric

To help prevent piracy, a CFS program uses either one of two methods to determine that it has been licensed so that the full version of the program can be unlocked. This article discusses using the Email Address method for registration.

Accessing software with an email address

For many years a license code has been used to access CFS software. In recent years, we made it possible on select programs for users to just enter their email address and Customer ID, which are easier to remember and don't change annually like license codes. CFS will not share or sell your information to any third party.

Users are prompted to enter an email address on the first launch of the program or if Remember me is not checked.

If an email address is not already on file, the program will prompt for some additional information.

Use your email address instead of someone else's.

Logging out or switching users

To log out:

  1. Click your email address located towards the top-right corner of the main window.
  2. Click Logout. Users can now either close the program, log back in, or log back in with a different email address.
