Submitting files

The department will require employers to report the subject wages and withholding amounts for Statewide Transit Tax on the Form W-2 in Box 14 with the designation OR STT. Enter the information on any line in box 14 in the following format: OR STT1234.56.

File size is limited to 150MB and may either be a .zip or .txt file. You are also required to submit the "Withholding Annual Reconciliation Report" (Form WR) by March 31st, even though you previously transmitted your W2's and/or 1099's electronically through iWire.

Oregon will be assessing penalties for any business that fails to file or files an incomplete or incorrect return. The penalty will be $50 per return, with a maximum of $2,500. If a business knowingly fails to file or knowingly files an incomplete, false, or misleading return, the penalty will be $250 per return, up to a maximum of $25,000.
