Does CFS support Certified Payroll?

Juliana Caiazzo Updated by Juliana Caiazzo

CFS Payroll System does not support Certified Payroll or Form WH-347.

However, you may set up custom income items/columns in LivePayroll for hourly "prevailing wages" paid to employees, if helpful to you.

  1. With your desired client highlighted, click the Edit Client button (above your Client List), select Payroll Setup tab, then click Add Income Item:

  1. Next choose "Regular Pay (hourly)" from Full Name dropdown list:

  1. Next, give the new income item a meaningful name you will recognize.  In this example, we sought to include the Local Union Chapter # in Texas, and added “j” for Journeyman:
  1. A pop-up will ask if you want to mark all employee's as subject to this income item; this is optional but generally not recommended (unless perhaps over half your employees will utilize the same income category). User should then SAVE the changes.

The new column will not show up in the Payroll Grid, however, UNTIL a particular employee is check-marked (under their Rates tab) as a user of this Income Item:

The appropriate hourly rate must also be entered (which may change in the future, requiring rate updating).

While this does not constitute “supporting” Certified Payroll, it might be useful to a Payroll System user as a means of tracking some of the information required for WH-347 reporting.
