Beginning Tax Year 2025, the BSO has new requirements for electronic submissions. If you try to create an e-file without all the required information filled out, you will receive an e-file W-2 Data Error: "Specific Information that is required to file an information return is missing. All errors must be corrected before the file can be created":

  1. To resolve, you must enter all of the following Employer Information:
    Employer Name
    Employer Address
    Contact Name
    Contact Email Address
    Contact Phone Number
  2. Enter the information on the Client Screen. See below:
