W-2 BSO WFID - Wage File Identifier
The WFID (Wage File Identifier) is a unique code assigned by the SSA only after a wage file is successfully uploaded and passes initial format checks. It serves as proof of submission and is required to check the status of the filing, download submitted reports, or resubmit corrected files if errors are found during backend processing.
